Gina J. Lewis Art

For the Universal Mom design, I had the pleasure of working with an Artist I've known for over 25 years. Gina J Lewis Art. She has been doing amazing art work since we were kids.

Gina Lewis went to school for fine art but always had a personal focus on illustration and telling stories. She likes to draw portraits and snapshots of children and childhood. She is currently based in Memphis TN. Gina is a stay at home mom and loves to illustrate people of color doing things that aren’t stereotypical and showing another aspect of being “black” at this time. There’s a lot of love being shown to black geeks, nerds, etc and there’s always more to show so she likes to add her 2 cents. Gina is focused more on depicting motherhood since having this opportunity to raise my son. Gina draws a lot from personal experiences ( both good and bad) in my art as well as popular celebrity figures and entertainment trends. Her dream is to put on a series of solo exhibits (I’ve only been in group shows thus far), accompanied by art books to sell. So far, she's been working freelance on projects such as story boarding for web animations, logo/crest design for churches, and commissioned portraiture.
